Samsung Could Launch Galaxy S25 Series in January 2025: What to expect?

According to reports, Samsung is going to introduce the latest Samsung flagship Galaxy S-series Smartphones in January the coming year. As the GSMArena report says, the next Galaxy Unpacked event on 22nd or 23rd January will be the stage for the launch of Samsung Galaxy S25 series. A regular Galaxy S25, a plus and an Ultra model will probably be part of the series. According to reports, Samsung is working on a sleeker iPhone 17 model for the coming year, and may further introduce a Galaxy S25 Slim model to keep up with Apple.

The Galaxy S25 series is hoped to come with little design shuffles, like display with slimmer bezels and adjustments to the camera module. The Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus models are expected to feature rounded corners, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra may come with more boxy design.

Hopefully, the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset will power the Galaxy S25 Ultra, and as per the reports, the Plus and Standard models may also be powered by the same chip. Typically, the standard and plus models feature Samsung’s own Exynos chips; a shift is expected this year. Because of the low yields from the semiconductor division of Samsung regarding the next-generation Exynos 2500 chips, there may be the shortage of units for the launch of Samsung S25 series, which may be the main reason behind equipping all models with Qualcomm chips.

There may not be significant alterations to camera hardware in the base models, the Galaxy S25 Ultra may get an upgrade to the 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera which is a notable improvement compared to the current 12 MP sensor. There may not be any changes in the 200 MP main sensor and telephoto cameras from the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

The Smartprix report shows the Galaxy S25 series’ fourth variant had appeared in the IMEI database of GSMA, which is possibly a slim version. Not enough detail is available about the Galaxy S25 Slim. However, Samsung may go through some adjustments to get a slimmer design.
